"The excellent results of the Logistics Incubator 4.0. they are yet another example of the great work that is being done in all spheres to promote a logistics hub in Barcelona, open to innovation, digitalisation, digital talent and sustainability". With these words, Pere Navarro, special delegate of the State in the Consortium of the Zona Franca de Barcelona (CZFB), wanted to highlight the value of this project during the presentation of its financial results. He was joined by Blanca Sorigué, general director of the CZFB, and Javier Collado, general director of the INCYDE Foundation.

The Logistics Incubator 4.0. The 29 companies that make up this incubation program focus on emerging technologies such as 3D printing, robotics and automated warehouses that optimize processes; the Internet of Things (IoT) and home automation or Big Data that converts data into business insights. If there is one thing that has characterized the Logistics Incubator 4.0. This 2023 is its incessant activity, as the numbers show. The last year of this project closes with a succession of rounds of investment and/or capital increase, open rounds of capital request and raising public funds both nationally and internationally. During the presentation of the financial results of the programme, representatives of the Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona (CZFB) and the Incyde Foundation of the Chambers of Commerce highlighted that, at the moment, 13.6 million euros are in the process of closing or have already been closed.

In addition, the 29 incubated startups have raised €2.42 million in investment rounds, capital increases closed in 2023 or open rounds of capital requests, in addition to a Series A round to raise five million euros. In addition, the Logistics Incubator 4.0. it has been present at seven congresses and fairs in the sector such as Tech Spirit 2022 and 2023, BNEW or Deep Tech Summit, among others. Because, as Blanca Sorigué, general director of the CZFB, points out, "this platform offers value-added services to the business, scientific and technological community, to design innovative products and processes that transform the logistics industry towards a more digital, connected and efficient sector".
