The Israeli army evacuates its wounded in the battles of the Gaza Strip (Anatolia)

The Israeli army acknowledged on Tuesday that an officer and a soldier from the "Yehalom" special task unit of the engineering corps, which specializes in tunnel warfare, were killed in battles in the northern Gaza Strip, without adding further details about their deaths.

This comes after the occupation army announced on Monday that 7 of its soldiers were killed in the ongoing battles in the Gaza Strip, bringing the number of its dead since the start of the ground operation in Gaza to 137, according to Israeli figures.

This brought the death toll of the Israeli army since the start of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood on October 7 to 463 dead between a soldier and an officer.

The losses of the occupation army have increased during the past few days with the intensification of battles with the Palestinian resistance factions in the axes of the Gaza Strip.

The Israeli media reported that the number of wounded by the Israeli army in the Gaza battles and those in hospitals is more than the figures announced by the Israeli military media.

On the other hand, the resistance announced in the past few days a series of operations and targeting tanks and vehicles of the occupation army and its forces on foot and holed up in residential buildings, and directly hit them in the north and south of the Gaza Strip.

Al-Qassam Brigades spokesman Abu Obeida confirmed in a number of his periodic statements that the Israeli army's official announcement of the number of deaths and injuries is "not real" and that the numbers are much higher.

The Israeli aggression on the besieged Gaza Strip continues for the 74th day, leaving more than 19,453 martyrs and 52,286 injured, while the resistance is engaged in fierce battles with the occupation forces in various axes of the Strip.
