North Korea has notified the Japanese Coast Guard that it will launch an 'artificial satellite' between Nov. 22 and Dec. 1," NHK reported.

It is specified that the launch is planned to be carried out in the direction of the Yellow and South China Seas.

In September, Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed cooperation in the space sector with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.

Answering the question whether Russia will help North Korea build satellites, the Russian president noted that he and the head of the DPRK, Kim Jong-un, came to the Vostochny Cosmodrome for this very reason.
