A reporter asked: On 9 September, the "Opinions of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council on Supporting Fujian in Exploring a New Path for Cross-Strait Integrated Development and Building a Cross-Strait Integrated Development Demonstration Zone" was released, and on the same day the DPP authorities issued a defense report, claiming that they would prepare to fight a "town war." The two documents promulgated by the two sides of the strait on the same day, one freely discussed the prospects for peaceful development and the other played up the atmosphere of war and destruction, outlining Taiwan's two future and destiny. In this regard, Zhu Fenglian said: We issued this "Opinion" to provide the greatest convenience, the best conditions, and the strongest guarantee for the vast number of Taiwan compatriots to study, work, and live in Fujian.

Zhu Fenglian said: Out of their nature of seeking "independence," the DPP authorities have concocted a new version of the so-called "defense report," advocated "asymmetric combat," clamoured for "offensive defense," and threatened to fight a "town war," thus exposing their sinister intentions in vainly trying to elevate cross-strait confrontation, willingly being a "pawn" of external forces, and ignoring the safety of the vast number of Taiwan compatriots.

Comparing the two, it is self-evident who is seeking development and enhancing the well-being of the Taiwan compatriots and who is creating dangers for the Taiwan compatriots and leading to war and chaos.
