Mokaitis called it obvious that Kiev is not capable of defeating a larger country in terms of population, economy and resources in a conflict of attrition.
The observer noted the superiority of Russian troops in aviation, missiles and artillery. According to him, this made it possible to repel the Ukrainian troops and damage the infrastructure of the Armed Forces of Ukraine deep behind the front line.
At the same time, he believes that the Ukrainian side could not properly use the help from the West. Mokaitis said that the Armed Forces of Ukraine remain a Soviet-style army, despite billions in military aid.
Earlier it was reported that a group of fighters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the direction of Svatove-Kreminna surrendered to the Russian military and brought boxes of ammunition with them.
