Urumqi, September 9 (Zhongxin Net) -- From September 26 to 9, the first "Belt and Road" Vocational Education Xinjiang Forum with the theme of "New Era, New Positioning, New Mission and Vocational Education Services to Build the High-quality Development of the 'Belt and Road'" was held in Kuitun City, Xinjiang. Experts and scholars from nearly 25 vocational colleges across the country gathered in Kuitun City to discuss the innovation and development of vocational education, and plan new ideas and measures for vocational education to promote high-quality economic and social development.

The forum was jointly organized by Xinjiang Applied Vocational and Technical College, Jiangsu Agriculture and Forestry Vocational and Technical College and Nanjing Vocational College of Science and Technology, with three sub-forums, including "New Era, New Positioning, New Mission and Vocational Education Services to Build the High-quality Development of the 'Belt and Road'", "Vocational Education Boosts Xinjiang's High-quality Economic and Social Development", "Collaborative Innovation of Vocational Education on the 'Belt and Road'", and "Deepening the Construction and Reform of Modern Vocational Education System", aiming to give full play to Xinjiang's location advantages and take vocational education as the starting point. Promote Xinjiang's high-level opening up, deepen international cooperation in vocational education, and serve the high-quality development of the "Belt and Road".

At the forum, the guests jointly pressed the launch button for the Vocational Education Development Alliance of the SCO member states and witnessed the official launch of the Vocational Education Development Alliance of the SCO member states. Xinjiang Applied Vocational and Technical College signed international cooperation agreements with two universities in Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, and signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Jiangsu Yunxiangcang Science and Technology Development Co., Ltd. for the cloud warehouse project with the future space station.

At the main forum, experts and scholars from the Sino-foreign Humanities Exchange Center of the Ministry of Education, the China Education Association for International Exchange, and Xinjiang Applied Vocational and Technical College gave keynote speeches. Li Yang, director of the Exchange and Research Department of the China Education Association for International Exchange, said in the report "Giving full play to the advantages of international exchanges of non-governmental education to help jointly build the high-quality development of the "Belt and Road" education action" that it is necessary to build a linkage mechanism, build an information resource sharing and cooperation platform, expand the "international circle of friends" and fully support the high-quality development of vocational education in Xinjiang in terms of talent training, integration of industry and education, vocational education "going global", and regional education cooperation.

In recent years, Xinjiang Applied Vocational and Technical College has docked with Xinjiang's "eight major industrial clusters" and characteristic advantageous industries, and continuously updated its professional settings and built a "4+3+2+1" ten professional group layout around the key development of petrochemical, equipment manufacturing and other advantageous industries in the northern urban belt and the needs of Kuitun to build a commercial and logistics center city. Build the Kuitun-Dushanzi Economic and Technological Development Zone Industry-Education Consortium, the Karamay High-tech Industrial Development Zone Industry-Education Consortium, and the Tianshan North Slope Economic Belt Hotel Management Industry-Education Integration Community.
