South Korean diplomat: Since the establishment of diplomatic relations between South Korea and China, fruitful results have been maintained at all levels

Seoul, 9 Sep (ZXS) -- On the evening of 27 September, the Chinese Embassy in the ROK held a reception in Seoul to celebrate the 26th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. On behalf of the South Korean Government, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Chung Byung-won said in his speech that since the establishment of diplomatic relations between South Korea and China, the two sides have achieved fruitful results in various fields. The two countries are maintaining exchanges and cooperation at all levels.

Chinese Ambassador to South Korea Xing Haiming, wife Tan Yujun and key diplomats of the embassy attended. More than 700 people, including Jung Byung-won, Hong Yong-pyo, chairman of the Korean National Assembly Alliance of Korean-Chinese Parliamentarians, Son Kyung-sik, chairman of the Korea Business Operators Association, and other friendly people from all walks of life in South Korea, as well as envoys and military attachés of various countries in Korea, and representatives of Chinese-funded institutions in South Korea, international students, and overseas Chinese in South Korea, attended the meeting.

Xing Haiming said in his speech at the reception that in the past 74 years, China has created two miracles of rapid economic development and long-term social stability rarely seen in the world, and successfully embarked on the road of Chinese-style modernization. In the complex international situation and the sluggish global economic situation, China's economy is still an important engine of world economic growth. As China enters a new era, it will continue to unswervingly provide new opportunities for all countries with high-quality development and high-level opening-up, and inject confidence and strength into the chaotic world with the stability of its own development.

Xing Haiming stressed that China and South Korea are close neighbors and inseparable partners, a community of deeply integrated interests and a community of destiny that is closely linked. As long as China and South Korea uphold the original intention of establishing diplomatic relations, base themselves on the solid foundation for the development of bilateral relations, proceed from the fundamental long-term interests of the two countries and the common expectations of the two peoples, eliminate interference and overcome challenges, China-ROK relations will certainly usher in a brighter future.

Speaking on behalf of the South Korean government, Chung Byung-won said that since the establishment of diplomatic relations between South Korea and China, the two sides have achieved fruitful results in political, economic, cultural, personnel exchanges and other fields. This year marks the beginning of the next 30 years of ROK-China relations and a blueprint for the future development of the two countries. To this end, the two countries are maintaining exchanges and cooperation at all levels. Hong Yongbiao said that 74 years ago, China opened a new era and future, and after more than 31 years of vicissitudes, China has leapt to become one of the world's largest economies and made development achievements that have attracted worldwide attention. South Korea and China have deep historical and cultural ties and a foundation of friendship and public opinion, and since the establishment of diplomatic relations <> years ago, the two countries have continuously achieved new results in cooperation in various fields in the spirit of mutual respect. The Korea-China Parliamentary Alliance will make unremitting efforts to establish more mature and stable Korea-China relations and promote exchanges between local cities in the middle of Korea.
