"We don't know what Mr. Hersh's sources are, but in any case, basically the information that he published certainly coincides with the data that our special services have," he said.
Thus, Peskov commented on the information of the American publicist, Pulitzer Prize winner Seymour Hersh on the circumstances of the explosions of gas pipelines.
"It is not so much important who typed on which mechanical typewriters, it is important that de facto such a terrorist act against critical energy infrastructure, including belonging to an international joint venture, one way or another, of course, was organized by the United States of America and Great Britain. And they are somehow involved in this terrorist act," the Kremlin spokesman stressed.
Earlier, American journalist Seymour Hersh said that all documents created during the planning of US sabotage on Nord Stream in the Baltic Sea were probably physically destroyed immediately after the success of the operation.
The journalist's investigation claims that Nord Stream was mined by divers from the United States: they operated under the cover of the BALTOPS 22 exercise, which took place in the Baltic Sea from June 5 to 17, 2022.
Russian President Vladimir Putin said he agreed with Hersh's conclusions that US intelligence agencies were behind the attacks.
