- U.S. soldier Travis King "illegally entered" North Korean territory, Pyongyang says
North Korea will expel U.S. soldier Travis King, who was detained after crossing the border from South Korea in July, state news agency KCNA reported Wednesday.
After completing its investigation, the "relevant organ of the DPRK [Democratic People's Republic of Korea, official name of North Korea] decided to expel Travis King, a soldier of the United States Army who illegally entered the territory of the DPRK, under the law of the Republic," the KCNA agency explained.
