The Governor of the Central Bank of Iran, Mohammad Reza Farzin, arrived on Wednesday in the Qatari capital Doha to strengthen financial and banking relations between the two countries.

According to the Iranian Tasnim News Agency, which reported the news, the visit comes within the framework of the government's regional diplomacy, and also in order to strengthen and develop monetary and banking cooperation, and employ joint economic capabilities with neighbors.

During this visit, accompanied by the Deputy Foreign Exchange Affairs at this bank, the Governor of the Central Bank of Iran will meet with the Governor of the Central Bank of Qatar, Sheikh Bandar bin Mohammed bin Saud Al-Thani.

In the middle of this month, based on the prisoner exchange deal between Iran and America mediated by Qatar, 6 Iranian bank accounts were opened in two banks in Qatar with a balance of about $ 6 billion, which was considered an easing of Western sanctions on Iran.
