Luo Zhitao, chief engineer of Fujian Oceanic and Fisheries Bureau, said that the Fujian Smart Ocean Joint Laboratory is established in accordance with the structure of "one, two cores and multiple points", with the Fujian Provincial Oceanic and Fisheries Bureau and Fujian Telecom as the two cores, implementing the win-win cooperation concept of "demand traction, integration and convergence, intensive innovation, and openness and sharing", and widely attracting smart marine digital technology enterprises and scientific research institutions to join.

At the unveiling ceremony, Zhang Lin, director and deputy general manager of Fuxin Futong, shared the theme of "Beidou + Smart Ocean Integrated Management Key Technology R&D and Application". Zhang Lin said that Fuxin Futong will work with the Smart Ocean Laboratory to jointly devote itself to the research and application of BeiDou technology in the field of smart ocean, and through advanced technologies such as BeiDou, cloud computing, and big data, make every effort to build a BeiDou marine spatial-temporal data base, build platforms such as maritime emergency command, sea surface target monitoring, marine environment monitoring, and marine fishery trading, and provide BeiDou solutions for maritime transportation, maritime rescue, disaster prevention and mitigation, and rural fishing port revitalization.

According to reports, Fujian Smart Ocean Joint Laboratory will introduce Fujian University of Technology, Jimei University and other colleges and universities, Fuxin Futong Technology Co., Ltd., Fuzhou Dahua Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd., Nanwei Software Group and other high-quality smart ocean enterprises to build an innovative research and development center, an integrated testing and verification center, a cooperative joint incubation center, and a scenario application promotion center, provide intelligent solutions for sea-related application scenarios, train technical talents for the development of smart marine industry, and promote the high-quality development of the marine economy in Fujian Province.
