NASA's space probe was launched in 2016, and four years later it arrived at the asteroid Bennu. With the help of a grappling arm out from the craft, it carried a soil sample consisting of dust and pebbles – the first ever that NASA has managed to collect.

And now, three years after the sample was taken, the capsule with dust has landed on Earth. Now the content will be analyzed in detail, and these are major questions that we hope to get answers to.

"This asteroid may contain information about how life arose on our planet," said Dante Lauretta, NASA's Osiris-Rex principal investigator.
