It is about an Asian Swamp Turtle that is estimated to be between 8 and 10 years old.
Right now, the turtle is in quarantine in the skansen.
"It could be that it carries a disease. All animals that come to us must therefore be quarantined," says Jonas Wahlström, head of the Skansen aquarium.
May have been ejected
It is believed that the reason it ended up on the highway was because someone wanted to get rid of it.
"It's common for owners of reptiles in particular that people buy when they're small and cute, and then get tired of them," says Jonas Wahlström.
