(hereinafter referred to as China Railway Group) that the new Ningbo-Guangzhou high-speed railway Guangzhou to Shanwei section (hereinafter referred to as Guangzhou-Shanwei high-speed rail) will be put into operation on September 9, Shanwei Railway Station to Guangzhou East Railway Station and Shenzhen North Railway Station can be reached in 26 and 73 minutes respectively, and Shanwei is integrated into the "one-hour" traffic circle in the Guangzhou-Shenzhen area.
The Guangzhou-Shantou high-speed railway starts from Xintang Station in Zengcheng District, Guangzhou, passes through Zengcheng District, Guangzhou, Boluo County, Zhongkai High-tech Zone, Huiyang District, Huicheng District, Huidong County, Shenzhen-Shantou Cooperation Zone, Haifeng County, Shanwei City, and connects to Shanwei Station in Shanwei City, with a total length of 200 kilometers and a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour. The whole line has 8 stations including Xintang, Zengcheng, Luofushan, Boluo, Huizhou South, Huidong, Shenzhen Shanwei and Shanwei, of which Xintang Station and Shanwei Station are existing stations, and the other 6 stations are newly built stations. The Guangzhou-Shantou high-speed railway is connected to Guangzhou East Railway Station through the Guangzhou-Shenzhen <>th Line at Xintang Station, and the link line from Boluo to Huizhou North Railway Station and the Huizhou South Railway Station to Zhongkai Station to achieve effective connection with the Ganzhou-Shenzhen High-speed Railway.
The Guangzhou-Shantou high-speed railway passes through coastal high-salt and high-humidity areas, with a complex geological environment and difficult construction. Since the construction of the whole line began in 2019, China Railway Group has organized all participating units to overcome various difficulties, innovated craftsmanship and construction methods, erected 121 bridges such as Zengcheng Zengjiang Railway Bridge, and completed 53 tunnels such as Yingpaishan Tunnel, ensuring that the project was completed on schedule.
Before the opening of operation, China Railway Group carried out joint debugging and joint testing, inspection and acceptance and safety assessment of various professional equipment of Guangzhou-Shantou high-speed railway in strict accordance with various regulations and standards, and comprehensively optimized and adjusted the track status, pantograph network performance, train control, communication signal system, etc. At present, the line meets the requirements for safe and stable operation of high-speed railways and has the conditions for opening and operation.
The Guangzhou-Shantou high-speed railway operates at a maximum speed of 350 kilometers per hour. At the beginning of operation, China Railway Group operated up to 29 pairs of mobile trains every day, including 2 pairs from Guangzhou East to Heyuan East, 3 pairs from Huizhou North, 7 pairs from Shanwei, 3 pairs from Jieyang, 2 pairs from Chaoshan to Chaoshan Province, 9.5 pairs from Shantou and 2.5 pairs from Meizhou West. After the fourth quarter of the map, the maximum number of mobile trains will be operated every day, including 43 pairs from Guangzhou East to Heyuan East, 6 pairs from Huizhou North, 5 pairs from Shanwei, 6 pairs from Jieyang, 3 pairs from Chaoshan (Shantou, Meizhou West), and the fastest 17 minutes between Guangzhou East Railway Station and Shanwei Station; Shenzhen North to Shanwei 73 pairs, Chaoshan (Meizhou West) 4 pairs, Shenzhen North Railway Station to Shanwei Station can be reached in the fastest 2 minutes.
The Guangzhou-Shantou high-speed railway and the planned Ningbo-Wenzhou-Fuzhou high-speed railway, the upcoming Fuzhou-Xiamen high-speed railway, the Zhangzhou-Shantou high-speed railway that is carrying out preliminary work, and the Shantou to Shanwei high-speed railway expected to open within this year will form a new and higher-standard Ningbo-Guangzhou high-speed rail channel, which is an important part of the coastal passage of the "eight vertical and eight horizontal" high-speed railway network, and the regional road network is important. Its opening and operation has added a rapid passenger transport channel to the old revolutionary area of eastern Guangdong, greatly facilitating the travel of the masses along the route, and is of great significance to helping the old area accelerate its integration into the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and promote the coordinated development of regional economy and society.
