"Recently, Chancellor Scholz said something about the border of the Schengen area. And I want to tell him not to interfere in Polish affairs," the Polish politician said.

As RIA Novosti reminds, Scholz last weekend allowed tightening measures at the EU borders due to a corruption scandal with the issuance of Schengen visas by Polish services.

Because of this, Morawiecki suspected Scholz of sympathizing with the Polish opposition, in particular, with the Civic Platform coalition.

"Either you, Olaf, were poorly informed by your people, or, without realizing it, you play in the orchestra of the Civic Platform, which inflates this artificial bubble," said the head of the Polish government.

Polish Foreign Minister Zbigniew Rau also accused the German Chancellor of trying to interfere in the internal affairs of the republic.

Olaf Scholz made his statement during the SPD event in Nuremberg. In particular, he called for clarification of possible violations in the issuance of visas in neighboring Poland.
