Hong Kong, 9 Sep (ZXS) -- Hong Kong SAR Chief Executive Lee Ka-chiu returned to Hong Kong on the evening of 25 September after completing his visit to Hangzhou. When meeting with the media at Hong Kong International Airport, he said that the achievements of the Hong Kong team in the Hangzhou Asian Games were encouraging; There is huge room for win-win cooperation between Hong Kong and Zhejiang.

Li Jiachao said that when he attended the opening ceremony of the Hangzhou Asian Games, he saw that the entire opening ceremony was very large and the effect was very shocking, and everyone who attended felt very encouraged.

Li Jiachao said that the Hong Kong team of China has won 2 gold, 3 silver and 6 bronze medals totaling 11 medals. "I am very encouraged and proud of them on behalf of the people of Hong Kong, and thank them for winning glory for Hong Kong." Mr Lee said he also visited the Hong Kong athletes during his stay in Hangzhou and encouraged the young athletes to give their best as possible because the experience is also an important part of growing up.

Li Jiachao also said that during his stay in Hangzhou, he met and exchanged views with Yi Lianhong, secretary of the Zhejiang Provincial CPC Committee. The two sides believe that the two places have many areas of complementary advantages and win-win benefits in high-quality development. For example, in the horse industry, the Hong Kong Jockey Club was invited to provide technical support for the equestrian events of the Hangzhou Asian Games. In June this year, the Hangzhou Municipal Government also signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Hong Kong Jockey Club to explore how to achieve positive development in the operation and talent training of Hangzhou equestrian venues after the Asian Games.

Mr Lee believes that horse industry co-operation is a representative of Hong Kong's need to play its strengths and contribute to the country. Hong Kong will continue to forge ahead in all aspects, integrate into the overall development of the country, and contribute to the high-quality development of the country. (End)
