At the end of September every autumn you can enjoy over 900 different activities that spread throughout Öland during the Harvest Festival. Almost 70,000 people gather to take part in the festivities, and many of them stop by to look at the different vegetable art that looks different every year.

"At the opening ceremony, there were 150-200 people watching. Thursday, Friday and Saturday there are always eight to ten here all the time, so it is well watched, says Theo Janson.

Going in the garbage

"It's a tradition that always has to exist, you're happy every time you see it," says Sören Karlsson

The painting consists of a total of 5000 bulbs, and when the Harvest Festival is over, Theo will throw everything in the trash.
