Beijing, 9 Sep (Zhongxin Net) -- Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin presided over a regular news conference on 25 September.
A reporter asked: China's Ministry of State Security issued on the 20th "The Main Depicted Means of Cyber Attack and Stealing by US Intelligence Agencies", which exposed the US cyber espionage of China, and pointed out that the US government has begun to hack into Huawei's headquarters server since 2009 and continues to monitor. What is China's comment on this?
Wang Wenbin: We condemn the irresponsible behavior of the US government. Facts have once again shown that on the one hand, the US government conducts pervasive cyber espionage against China, bringing huge risks to China's network security, and on the other hand, it constantly creates and spreads false information about the "China hacking theory", which is a typical and hypocritical political manipulation.
What is more noteworthy is that the relevant report revealed that the US government has begun to conduct cyber espionage on Huawei since 2009. For a long time, the United States has repeatedly used "national security" as a reason to suppress Chinese high-tech companies, including Huawei. But relevant reports show that even in the form of "stealing", the US government still has not found so-called "evidence". This fully exposes that the US government's suppression of Chinese enterprises is not because of so-called "national security", but uses illegal and unfair means to obstruct the development of Chinese enterprises when they cannot lead in normal competition.
We hope that relevant countries will not participate in the "political coercion" of Chinese enterprises by the United States, adhere to strategic autonomy, and maintain a fair, open, inclusive and non-discriminatory business environment with an objective and fair attitude. (End)
