"I want to inform you that I have agreed with the US administration, with Secretary of Defense Loyd Austin, that next year Apache helicopters from the stocks of the US ground forces will be delivered to the Polish Army in the form of leasing," RIA Novosti quoted the minister as saying.
He added that Polish pilots are already being trained to pilot Apache in the United States. According to Blaszczak, these helicopters will be deployed in the east of the republic near the border of Belarus.
The minister also stressed that Warsaw is counting on a short time for the supply of equipment.
Earlier, the State Department said that the United States would issue a loan of $ 2 billion to Poland to modernize defense.
