A simple walk through the countryside became a real nightmare for two 49-year-old English tourists who were walking through the area of the Pleta de El Prat de Tavasca, in the municipality of Lladorre (Lleida). These women, according to 'Pallars Digital', were surrounded by several mastiffs and had to be rescued by helicopter.
The dogs, in charge of guarding a flock, cornered the women, who called the authorities. It was then that the Special Actions Support Group (GRAE) mobilized a helicopter to evacuate them from the area.
One of the mastiffs had bitten one of the tourists in the leg, so after being rescued, she had to be transferred to the Pallars Hospital.
The authorities recommend being careful when hiking or when walking in the countryside and warn about the dangers that exist when we approach animals, whether wild or livestock.
