It was during the night of Monday that a policeman during free time tried to break up a fight in the Haga area in Jönköping. He was then attacked with a knife himself.
A 55-year-old man was arrested and a detention hearing against him begins at 14 p.m. today.
The policeman who was stabbed was allowed to leave hospital after treatment and is doing well under the circumstances.
