Associations, unions and political parties have launched a call to demonstrate this Saturday against police violence and racism, after the urban riots that affected a large part of the territory at the beginning of the summer.

Between 21,000 and 26,000 demonstrators are expected everywhere in France in marches Saturday "against systemic racism, police violence and for public freedoms", at the call of a hundred unions, associations and political parties, such as La France insoumise. A hundred demonstrations are anticipated by territorial intelligence.

Risks of disturbances to public order were identified in Angers (49), Caen (14), Toulouse (31), Grenoble (38), Bordeaux (33), Saint-Étienne (42), Le Puy-en-Velay (43), Vandœuvre-lès-Nancy (54) and Pau (64).
