According to the agency, on the morning of September 20, the police received a message from citizens that women's cries for help were heard from the garage located on Kolomenskaya Street. Law enforcement officers immediately went to the scene.

"The police began to break down the garage door, but after a while the woman inside was able to open the lock herself and run out. She was chased by a man with an ax in his hands, who, seeing the police officers, disappeared into the house through the inner door of the building, "the Interior Ministry reports.

The victim said that at night her roommate, being in an inadequate condition, locked her in the garage, and then began to beat her with various objects, including a shovel and an ax. The victim was hospitalized after being rescued from the garage.

It is clarified that the police attempted to detain the attacker, but he barricaded himself in the room, while breaking windows and breaking everything inside. To neutralize it, it was necessary to involve fighters of the special forces of the Russian Guard.

"The detainee was a 31-year-old resident of the Dzerzhinsky district, who had previously been prosecuted for robbery and intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm," the report said.

On the fact of the incident, investigators of the SUSK in the Novosibirsk region opened a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under Article 127 of the Criminal Code of Russia (illegal deprivation of liberty, not related to his abduction, with the use of violence dangerous to life and health).
