The paper mill in Obbola has been expanded with a kraftliner machine that produces the surface layer of corrugated cardboard from recycled material.
The world's largest paper machine
It is currently the world's largest kraftliner machine and has an annual capacity of 725,000 tonnes, an increase of 60 per cent compared to before.
"We have now secured industrial operations here in Obbola for a long time to come," says Per Strand, Project Director.
Large investment
SCA has invested SEK 7.5 billion in the project and one billion is set aside for an environmentally friendly transition.
"We have removed about 8000,<> cubic meters of oil and replaced it with pellets from Rundvik," says Gustav Nygren, Plant Manager at Obbola.
