The conflict is about the risks the construction of the new pedestrian and bicycle bridge poses to metro traffic.
The City of Stockholm claims that the bridge can be built without risk to metro traffic. SL believes that the construction could lead to subsidence in the Söderström Bridge.
SL has therefore decided that all metro traffic between Slussen and T-Centralen must be cancelled when construction is in progress.
Now the city and the region have formed a working group to resolve the dispute. On 7 October, a solution will be presented.
The new pedestrian and bicycle bridge must be completed by summer 2025. Otherwise, the City of Stockholm must apply for a new environmental permit.
In the video above you can hear what the politicians say about the tours around the bridge construction.
