"At the moment, there are no changes in the rules specified in Annex XXI to EU Directive No. 833/2014 of the European Union," the diplomatic mission told Izvestia.
It is clarified that Paris will not announce a ban on the import of vehicles by analogy with Germany, Finland, Poland and the Baltic states.
"Some countries, such as Finland and Poland, have changed their rules. But we do not plan to change them," the embassy added.
Earlier, the European Union banned Russians from importing personal belongings, including smartphones, cosmetics and cars registered in Russia.
At the same time, the EC allowed not to confiscate clothes from Russians at the border as part of the sanctions.
Later, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, on the air of RT, called the new sanctions measures of the European Union, in particular the ban on Russians importing personal belongings, racism.
