In his appeal, the political scientist noted that in the labor legislation of a number of countries there is a direct pattern between the length of a citizen's seniority and the duration of his annual paid leave according to the principle: the longer the length of service, the longer the vacation period.

On the one hand, this is an encouragement for citizens who have significant experience and have made a significant contribution to the national economy with their work, Orlov said.

On the other hand, according to him, this is a benefit for people who need more time to recuperate.

A similar effective system of support for experienced specialists could be integrated into Russian labor legislation, the interlocutor of RT explained.

"In this regard, I ask you to consider the advisability of amending the Labor Code of the Russian Federation in terms of increasing the period of annual paid leave from 28 to 35 days for persons with 30 or more years of work experience," the text of the appeal says.

Earlier, Orlov proposed to introduce regular additional days off for large families at the end of December.
