Wang Wenbin: Since the beginning of this year, in order to serve the high-quality development of China and high-level opening up, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has continuously optimized policies such as visas, and jointly issued a series of facilitation measures with relevant departments to guide embassies and consulates stationed abroad to make every effort to ensure that foreigners come to China smoothly.

After the new crown virus infected the "Category B tube", the relevant Chinese departments and embassies and consulates abroad resumed the issuance of multiple visas, port visas and transit visa-free policies; From March 3, the functions of tourist visas, regional visa-free and pre-epidemic multiple-visa entry will be fully restored; Take a number of measures to improve the efficiency of certification and provide green channels for important emergency business and humanitarian missions; From May 15, foreigners will be allowed to enter the country with the APEC Business Travel Card virtual card; From July 5, the unilateral visa-free policy for Singapore and Brunei will be resumed; From mid-August, phased fingerprint exemption measures will be adopted for eligible business, tourism, family visits, etc.; From August 1, people coming to China do not need to take a new coronavirus nucleic acid or antigen test before entering China. In addition to the above-mentioned measures, since the beginning of this year, China has signed visa-free agreements with Kazakhstan, Madagascar and other countries, and the number of various mutual visa exemption agreements has reached 7.

The above measures have been positively responded to by all walks of life, with the number of visas issued by Chinese embassies and consulates abroad rebounding rapidly, and the number of foreigners entering the country has steadily increased.
