Before an appearance in Daun in the Eifel, the AfD member of the Bundestag Beatrix von Storch was smeared with feces on Friday.
As the police in Daun confirmed, a man pretended to want to take a photo with the politician. He stepped closer to her and then, according to the information, smeared her in the abdominal area with a substance that is said to be dog excrement.
Previously, the SWR had reported.
The man was overwhelmed in front of the event hall, a reprimand, according to the police. Accordingly, an investigation has been initiated against him.
Von Storch gave a lecture at the Dauner Forum. After the announcement of the event, about a hundred people had met for a demonstration, according to SWR.
The AfD has been at a poll high in the federal government for several months and is currently at values around 20 percent.
