Hong Kong, 8 Aug (ZXS) -- The Hong Kong Garrison of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) announced on 25 August that in accordance with the "Law of the People's Republic of China on the Garrison of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region" and the order of the Central Military Commission, the army, navy, and air force of the Hong Kong Garrison organized the 25th rotation since entering Hong Kong in the early morning of 25 August.

On the evening of 24 December, the army units of the Hong Kong Garrison participating in the rotation set out from the Shenzhen station and marched toward the Shenzhen Huanggang Port in the form of echelon formation and motorized mobility.

At zero o'clock, the echelon passed through Shenzhen Huanggang Port and Hong Kong Lok Ma Chau Port one after another, and after crossing many trunk highways in Hong Kong, successfully arrived at the Hong Kong Garrison Gunhuishan Barracks. At 1 a.m., the Army Unit of the Hong Kong Garrison held a defense handover ceremony at the Gun Huishan Barracks.

After the handover of defense, at 1:50 a.m., the army units that had left the port in rotation left the garrison and returned to the Shenzhen garrison through the Lok Ma Chau Port and Huanggang Port successively.

In addition to army units, there are naval ships and air force helicopter units participating in the rotation. On the morning of the 25th, the newly rotated naval landing craft set off from a military port in Shenzhen, crossed the waters of Hong Kong, and arrived at the Stonecutters Island Naval Base on time. At 11:30, the Hong Kong Garrison Naval Force held a defense handover ceremony at Stonecutters Island Barracks.

The rotating Air Force helicopter group took off from the Guangzhou station and arrived at Shigang Air Base at 9:50 a.m. to replace the rotational air force units leaving Hong Kong to perform defense. Subsequently, a defense handover ceremony was held at the Shigang Barracks.

It is understood that this is the 26th rotation of formed units since the Chinese People's Liberation Army entered Hong Kong, and has received strong support from the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government and all sectors of society. The rotation will further enhance the capability of the Hong Kong Garrison to carry out its defence duties. (End)
