The lawyer noted that the first and most common sanction for non-payment is penalties, which are charged on the amount of delay.

"They are accrued from the 31st day of delay and amount to 1/300 of the refinancing rate of the debt amount for each day. The law also provides for such a measure as restricting or suspending the provision of public services," he said.

Solovyov stressed that the next stage is debt collection in court. At the same time, the limitation period is three years.

"I note that after the issuance of a court order or decision, restrictive measures may be applied to the debtor (traveling abroad and driving a car). The last measure is the eviction of the tenant by a court decision, "the RT interlocutor added.

Solovyov also recalled that to date, the procedures for eviction from the hostel and rented housing have been worked out, and debts for housing and communal services are inherited and the new owner will have to pay them off.

Earlier it became known that according to Rosstat, the debts of Russians for housing and communal services approached 900 billion rubles.
