While the Chinese car manufacturer BYD and the American Tesla are thinking together about building new factories in Europe, Bruno Le Maire would like to encourage Chinese manufacturers to produce electric vehicles in France.
It is to meet a number of Chinese business leaders, that the French Minister of Economy will travel to Shenzhen, in the south of the country. The message displayed by Bercy: France is an attractive country for foreign investment and for the production of technologies necessary for the ecological transition.

Among other interlocutors of the minister, the head of XTC. Last May, the Chinese group and the French Orano formalized their association to manufacture battery components for electric vehicles in Dunkirk. An investment of one and a half billion euros.
Other topics such as the fight against climate change and the debt of poor countries will have to be discussed in Beijing. But also the French trade deficit with China, which currently amounts, according to Bercy, to 53 billion euros.
