On Tuesday, the trial began at Blekinge District Court regarding two cases of suspected kidnapping, both of which allegedly took place in Ronneby municipality at the beginning of the year.

During the first day of the trial, the first occasion was dealt with, where a man was allegedly assaulted outdoors and transported under threat to a home in Ronneby. There he was then beaten and pressured to settle a drug debt.

'Constant worry'

After the incident, the man has felt ill and did not dare to be at home in his home, according to the man's counsel.

"He has, so to speak, lived on the run and had a constant worry after the incident. Now he hopes to get closure and not have to be afraid, says Eric Widner.

A total of six people have been charged in connection with the incident, of which three men are suspected of kidnapping. Tuesday's proceedings were attended by the three men, all of whom deny the charges of kidnapping.

The trial is scheduled to last seven days.
