• UK Girl dies after car crashes into London school

A second eight-year-old girl died Sunday after a crash in Wimbledon, southwest London, in which a car crashed into a primary school, police said.

"It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our beloved Nuria on Sunday, July 9," London police said in a statement, which conveyed a message from the child's family.

Nuria was hospitalized after the accident and was in a very critical condition.

Another eight-year-old girl, Selena, died in the crash, which took place Thursday morning at a private girls' school.

The car crash into the building occurred during a party organizedjust before the summer holidays in the presence of students and parents.

A 40-year-old woman is still hospitalized "in a serious state," police said, ruling out any terrorist motive. The attack left others injured.

The driver of the vehicle, 46, of Wimbledon, was released on bail. She had been arrested on Thursday on suspicion of "dangerous driving causing death."
