Through a brief statement of two paragraphs, the president of the Assembly of Extremadura, Blanca Martín, announced that tomorrow Tuesday she has summoned the presidents of the parliamentary groups to resume "the consultation period" to propose a candidate for the president of the Junta de Extremadura.

In this second round the order of the meetings has changed, now from greater representation to minor, and will begin at 9.00 am with the most voted list, this time with the acting president, Guillermo Fernández Vara; then he will do it with María Guardiola, president of the PP of Extremadura; at 10:00 am, Blanca Martín will receive Ángel Pelayo Gordillo, president of the Vox Parliamentary Group; and at 10:30 am, finally, with Irene de Miguel, with the Parliamentary Group United for Extremadura.

With a different scenario to last Tuesday, when Guillermo Fernández Vara, although without options to govern (the sum with Unidas Podemos did not give him the majority), expressed his "will" to present his candidacy, now Guardiola and Pelayo Gordillo will transmit that they have sealed an agreement and that they reach in this way the 33 deputies (28 by the PP and 5 by Vox) to invest María Guardiola. Both had already asked him last week to leave Vara's candidacy on stand by and to let them negotiate until the weekend to try to reach an agreement, but the socialist Blanca Martín did not attend to the requirement of Guardiola and Pelayo Gordillo and scheduled the two plenary sessions of investiture for days 5 and 6 (this Wednesday and Thursday), plus the vote for Saturday 8, a calendar that will decline with the agreement already reached between the two parties.

Tomorrow, Tuesday, after that round of consultations, the president of the Assembly is also expected to announce the new calendar planned for the investiture of María Guardiola as the first woman president of the Junta de Extremadura.
