The Contentious Chamber of the Superior Court of Justice of Madrid (TSJM) has given the reason to the Municipal Socialist Group in the previous sentence that challenged the agreement of the Plenary of the City Council of Madrid of September 29, 2020 by which the names of Francisco Largo Caballero Avenue and Indalecio Prieto Boulevard were removed from the city, in addition to the plaque located in the Plaza de Chamberí dedicated to the first.

The plenary agreement also called for the removal of statues erected in Nuevos Ministerios in memory of the two socialist leaders. The Madrid City Council, the Roots Historical Memory Claim Association and the Vox Municipal Group filed appeals against the initial sentence, issued in October 2022 by the contentious-administrative court number 1 of Madrid, which gave the reason to the PSOE in challenging the plenary agreement.
