The Central Electoral Board (JEC) has approved an instruction that requires all voters who vote by mail to identify themselves with the DNI or with a similar document at the time of sending the ballot and depositing the vote. The arbitration body has also decided that having contracted holidays before May 29 will help citizens get rid of a polling station.

The JEC has agreed, according to a note released by the arbitration body, that if the election day coincides with "a displacement or stay of a holiday nature, which has been contracted before the date of the call for the elections [May 29], whose cancellation causes economic damage or serious disruption to the applicant, it can be considered as an excuse by the JEZ, provided that the full integration of the tables is ensured and that the due advance notice of the contract is documented, as well as the alleged economic damage or serious disturbance".

As for the postal vote, after the controversy raised with the alleged fraud in Melilla, the JEC has approved this resolution for the upcoming elections on July 23 and has indicated that if you could not go personally to deliver the documentation, an authorization must be granted for it to be delivered by another person, which must be signed by the voter and accompanied by a photocopy of their ID or similar document.
