Ana Obregón is even in the soup. Spain is a very obsessive country when a topic is in the firing and that of surrogacy, championed by the Spanish actress, has been the most commented in recent times. So popular is it that it has even come out in the Selectivity of the Valencian Community.

And it is that the debate on the so-called 'wombs for rent' and the media case of the presenter Ana Obregón have become a matter of examination on the second day of the University Access Tests (PAU) in the Valencian Community.

The test of Spanish-Language and Literature has included the editorial that a newspaper published on April 1 under the title 'Vientre de alquiler'.

The news that the actress and presenter Ana Obregón, 68, had decided to be a mother again by the procedure of a surrogacy in the United States has reopened the debate in politics and society about this practice prohibited in Spain, but legal in other countries. "

"In the case of surrogacy, we have walked towards a trivialization of the technique, with more and more cases of models, famous or rich without more who resort to a surrogacy for professional convenience or to preserve their body from the effects of a pregnancy: Maternity or paternity can be a legitimate desire, But they do not prevail over the right of the conceived child or over the human rights of women," she adds.

In line with this writing, Valencian students have been asked to answer, among other questions, the following question: "Should surrogacy be authorized in Spain?".

A total of 22,951 students from the Valencian Community participate in this ordinary call for the Selectivity. 60% of the students who will take the tests are women and 40% men. By universities, the two universities in the province of Valencia are the ones that will host the largest number of students, with a total of 12,317 enrolled, of which 6,562 students will be examined at the University of Valencia and 5,755 at the Universitat Politècnica de Valencia.

It is followed by the two universities in the province of Alicante, which will host a total of 7,963 people, of which 4,127 will take the tests at the Miguel Hernández University of Elche and 3,836 at the University of Alicante. Finally, at the Universitat Jaume I of Castellón, a total of 2,671 students will be examined.
