The man is wanted internationally since before and was important when the FBI managed to spread its own chat service Anom in criminal networks. He was tricked by the Americans and sold phones with Anom installed to several criminal gangs. Through the chat service, American and Swedish police could read what criminals wrote to each other and in Sweden the Anom chats led to the arrest of 155 people.

The man is wanted internationally on suspicion of trafficking, drug smuggling and money laundering.

The US State Department writes that the reward is announced jointly with the Swedish Police Authority and hopes that the reward offer will disrupt and deter criminal activity globally.
