The person suffered a neck injury as a result of the fall and then died.
"Falls are unfortunately common among the elderly and can cause injuries, reduced quality of life and even death," says Lindholm.
Afterwards, shortcomings were found in the planning for short-term stays and internal communication, among other things. Skellefteå municipality has investigated the accident and implemented measures to reduce the risk of similar situations repeating.
Will reduce risks
– We have reviewed our routines and updated the preventive work to reduce the risk of such accidents, says Louise Lindholm.
"It's about giving those who work tools to be able to pay attention to risks," she says.
