Sébastien Bourdais was 20 years old when he took part in his first race at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The 44-year-old is now making his 16th appearance.

Since its inception in 1923, the race has continued to evolve. Cars have become faster and safer and over the years the 24 Hours of Le Mans has become a technological laboratory where many inventions are tested.
