Large groups of extremist settlers under the protection of the Israeli occupation forces stormed the town of Kifl Haris in the northern West Bank.

Settlers roamed the streets of the town chanting racist slogans against Arabs, and a number of them assaulted residents and performed dances, provocative songs and hostile chants in the center of the town.

In the same context, dozens of youths were injured after confronting groups of settlers who stormed the village of Burqa in the northern West Bank, where Israeli occupation soldiers fired tear gas canisters and rubber-coated bullets, according to the Palestinian Red Crescent.

The occupation army also arrested 22 Palestinians during raids carried out by its forces in several governorates in the West Bank.

The Palestinian news agency Wafa reported that a young man and a boy were injured during clashes with the Israeli occupation forces in the towns of Deir al-Ghosoun and Anabta in Tulkarm, north of the West Bank.

The Palestinian Prisoners' Club said the Israeli army had arrested 22 Palestinians, including 15 from the same village.

The non-governmental club added in a statement that the Israeli occupation forces launched at dawn on Monday, a campaign of mass arrests that affected 22 Palestinians from the West Bank, including 15 from the town of Al-Mughayyir, east of Ramallah.

The Prisoners' Club revealed that the number of arrests has risen since the beginning of this year to more than 3370,<> cases.

Settlement file

The village of Al-Mughayyir has been under siege by the Israeli occupation forces for about 24 days, during which 45 citizens were arrested, most of whom were later released.

WAFA quoted the head of the village council, Amin Abu Alia, as saying that the occupation seeks, through the siege of the village, to cut off communication with the lands of Al-Mughayyir located east of the "Alon" settlement street, where more than 70% of the village's land is located, and those lands overlook the Palestinian valley targeted by what was known as the Jordan Valley annexation plan, and is considered an extension of it, including the establishment of pastoral settlement outposts.

Abu Alia added that the village has been subjected more than once to settlers and Knesset members to the systematic occupation, as well as calls for the deportation and storming of the villagers, which encouraged settlers to launch attacks that have occurred more than once in the past few months.

This is accompanied by a direct threat from the occupation intelligence to the youths through text messages and phone calls.

In a related context, a specialized committee in the Supreme Council for Planning and Settlement Construction will hold a final session next week to hear objections to the construction of about 3400,1 settlement units in the area known as "E<>" east of the occupied city of Jerusalem.

The move was preceded by the council's decision to approve or reject construction in this area between the cities of Jericho and Jerusalem, which Israel had postponed approving the project several times due to strong opposition from the US administration.
