He expressed this opinion in an interview with the YouTube channel Judging Freedom.

Ritter commented on Blinken's speech in Helsinki, where an American official talked about how Putin views the conflict around Ukraine.

Blinken, in particular, expressed confidence that the Russian president thinks that "even if he loses in small, he will win in the long run."

The United States, along with allies and partners, is "firmly committed to supporting Ukraine today, tomorrow and for as long as it takes," the secretary of state argued.

"I am always surprised when people of such status and intelligence as Secretary of State Blinken say: "Putin believes ...", "Putin thinks ...". Really, Tony? You sure? Putin called you on your cell phone and said, 'Hey, Tony, I believe this and I think so-and-so,'" Ritter said.

According to the expert, he follows the speeches of the Russian leader, and nothing that Putin has ever said coincides with what Blinken broadcasts.
