The Minister of Defense, Margarita Robles, has confirmed during the celebration of the Day of the Armed Forces that she will attend the general elections on July 23 on the lists of Pedro Sánchez. During an interview with Spanish Television, Robles has praised the project of the President of the Government.
"I have a personal commitment to Sánchez, I believe in Pedro Sánchez and the policy that is being done is the best for Spain," Robles replied when asked if she will participate in the elections. "I will be committed as long as it serves. For me it has been and is a luxury to be Minister of Defense, "he insisted.
Robles has been at the head of the Armed Forces for four years and his statements are prior to the parade with which they celebrate their day. The minister has assured that the defense policy is "State policy" and has defended that the electoral advance does not change the plans for the Ministry.
Of course, he has insisted that investment in defense is necessary because it is "investing in peace", and more after the war in Ukraine has shown that "our security is very vulnerable".
