During a dinner hosted in honor of the guests of his inauguration for a new presidential term, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan affirmed his government's determination to strengthen his country's regional and international position and power during the next phase.

The banquet was held at the Çankaya presidential palace in the capital, Ankara, and followed a busy day that saw President Erdogan be sworn in after winning the presidential run-off elections last Sunday, as well as the unveiling of the composition of the new Turkish government.

After thanking the participants in the inauguration, Erdogan said that he and his government intend to strengthen Turkey's regional and international standing and power during the next phase, and continue to work with all partners and friends to establish a more just and peaceful world order.

He added that Turkey's destination will be to both the east and the west, "but most of all is the orientation towards truth, truth and justice."

The inauguration ceremony of the Turkish president, including the swearing-in, took place on Saturday at the parliament in the capital, Ankara, followed by the announcement of the names of his government ministers, in addition to the disclosure of the appointment of Cevdet Yilmaz as vice president.
