According to him, as part of the platoon, the military took up positions in the Maryinsky direction, after which they received an order to occupy the stronghold of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, from where they were constantly firing at the positions of the Russian Armed Forces.

"We, consisting of two fighters, advanced. It was not quite easy, the battle lasted about four hours, and at the same time we were negotiating for them to surrender. We didn't quite understand how many of them there were," RIA Novosti quoted the military as saying.

After three hours of fierce fighting, the Fox sent his colleague Ted to replenish the ammunition and continued to hold the captured positions himself.

At some point, the Ukrainian military struck with five mortars at the stronghold for which he was fighting, because the Ukrainian militants who repulsed the assault called fire on themselves, the agency writes.

"At one point, one of them accepted our offer to surrender. As a result, we took up a position and took four soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine prisoner, after which we reported to the command that our stronghold and the Ukrainian military surrendered - they realized that there was no other option," the fighter continued.

After that, a combat vehicle was sent for them to transport prisoners of war.

Documents are now being prepared to present both fighters for the award, the press service of the South group said in a statement.

Currently, units of the Akhmat special forces detachment continue their offensive in the Maryinsky tactical direction.
