He said this when he was asked to comment on the statement of the representative of the opposition, the mayor of Budapest, Gergely Karácsony, that Hungary allegedly "is already at war with Russia."

"If someone, without getting up from his chair, says such things, then he is simply out of his mind," TASS quoted him as saying.

Orban also added that no sane person who has heard of World War II will allow himself such statements.

"As long as the current government is in power, Hungary will not fight [with Russia]," Orban stressed.

Earlier, the Hungarian Prime Minister expressed confidence that the intention of the European Union to introduce the 11th package of sanctions against Russia is contrary to common sense.
