"Unfortunately, four more people were added to the 12 victims. All were taken to the city hospital No. 2 of Belgorod, where doctors provide them with all the necessary medical care," he wrote in his Telegram channel.

Gladkov added that three administrative buildings, a dormitory, ten enterprises and commercial facilities were damaged.

In addition, there is no electricity and water supply in the city.

Earlier, the governor said that more than 850 arrivals of shells were recorded on June 1 in the Shebekinsky urban district.

He also said that two women were killed as a result of shelling by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The head of the administration of the Shebekinsky urban district of the Belgorod region, Vladimir Zhdanov, said that the authorities would organize the delivery of water and medicines for those who remained in the shelled Shebekino.
