The DPP was exposed that the "sexual harassment" case continued to burn

On May 5, a former employee of the DPP's women's department mentioned on Facebook that when he was helping the DPP carry out its work in the past, he was sexually harassed by the contractor, and asked for help from Xu Jiatian, then director of the women's department, but was coldly remarked.

In response, the DPP issued an apology overnight, saying that the notification mechanism was inadequate, that it would review and set up an investigation team, and that Xu Jiatian was immediately suspended (deputy secretary-general of the DPP) for investigation.

Ms. Tsai's office said June 6 that Ms. Tsai took the incident seriously, expressed severe condemnation of any incidents involving sexual harassment, and supported the party department's investigation into the matter. Democratic Progressive Party Chairman Lai Qingde said he apologized to the colleague on behalf of the DPP.

At noon on 6 June, another former DPP staff member alleged sexual harassment. Taiwan media reported that the victim accused Chen Youhao of sexual harassment by his then department colleague Chen Youhao on social media. After informing the then supervisor, Cai Mulin, she was asked to apologize to Chen Youhao on the grounds that it affected the atmosphere of the department.

A 90-degree bow + an apology is not accepted

On the 2nd, DPP Secretary-General Xu Liming, Deputy Secretary-General Yang Yishan, Director of the Sex Equality Department Li Yanrong and spokesman Zhang Zhihao held a press conference to bow 90 degrees on behalf of the DPP and apologize to all relevant victims and the public.

Xu Liming also said that he would first ask Li Yanrong to start collecting information and transfer the case of Cai Mulin and others to justice; Internally, the most severe party disciplinary punishment will also be immediately initiated. Li Yanrong also said at the press conference that he hoped everyone would give the DPP another chance.

The DPP's bow and apology did not calm the anger of the people, and some netizens said that "every day I am apologizing and then what", "Give the DPP another chance, Taiwan has only one way to die", "Give another chance to fool the people?" Don't think about it!!! ”。

Kuomintang Taipei City Councilman You Shuhui criticized on Facebook on the 2nd, "Lai Qingde he can not deal with cross-strait issues, can not deal with gender issues, so that we in Taiwan are not safe, but also make the girls working for them unsafe", You Shuhui more emphasized, "In a workplace with internal culture problems, there will never be only one sexual harassment incident, and similar things will continue to occur."

KMT spokesman Yang Zhiling also questioned how many victims the DPP has created from top to bottom. How many victims of forbearance are there? As the chairman of the Democratic Progressive Party at the time, Tsai Ing-wen allowed and connived at the collective sexual bullying and sexual harassment of subordinate employees? As the current party chairman, Lai Qingde continued to cover, turn a blind eye, and turn away. What the hell is wrong with this party?

There are also reports that the cases that have come to light so far may only be the tip of the iceberg. The second victim who made the accusation on the 2nd revealed in the article that he had "seen distress letters from other party workers."
