An Israeli soldier was lightly injured in a shooting at a military post in Nablus overnight, while the Israeli occupation authorities placed heavy guards on the head of settlements in the northern West Bank after threats to kill him.

Yesterday, the Israeli occupation forces launched a campaign of arrests in the West Bank, in which they arrested 33 Palestinians for interrogation on charges of resisting them.

Last Tuesday, an Israeli soldier was injured during the incursion of the Israeli occupation forces into the Nour Shams refugee camp in the West Bank city of Tulkarm, and a settler was killed after being seriously wounded after being shot at the entrance to Harmash settlement, located west of Ya'bad in the northern West Bank.

Yesterday, a Palestinian youth was injured by Israeli gunfire at the Shuafat military camp checkpoint, northeast of Jerusalem, Palestinian sources said.

Meanwhile, Israeli security forces placed heavy security on Yossi Dagan, head of the Northern West Bank Settlement Council, and placed armed guards on his home, after classifying him as a first-class target.

The website of the newspaper "Yedioth Ahronoth" said that the decision was taken after explicit threats to Dagan to kill him, as the group of so-called Galilee forces - lone wolves operating from refugee camps in Syria, according to the site - published a video vowing to kill Dagan soon, where the tape showed a picture of Dagan with a gun pointed at his head.

Dagan is one of the most vocal settler leaders against Palestinians and one of the most vocal advocates of a large-scale operation against Palestinians in the northern occupied West Bank.
